Kingscote Green Oak 6 bar entrance gate up to 1.22m - 4ft wide

Planed and sanded 3inch 75mm thick gate with 3x1 75x25mm underbars. Morticed and oak pegged with the lacings bolted on with stainless steel fixings, stop-champhered top bar. Uprights are 5x3"(125x75mm) at the hanging end and 3x2.5"(75x63mm) at the swinging end. All sizes are pre-planed. The Kingscote is strongest entrance gate with the swept heel. Supplied with a coat of Teak oil for a glossy look from new, no treatment is required on these oak gates as the timber gets harder as it dries out, you may add any non-sealant colourant in the future if the natural silvery colour of oak isnt to your taste. **Please note the swept heel is a weakpoint on this design gate, the grain on the curve is vertical therefore can be prone to splitting**

As the five bar gate but with an extra bar, spacings are decreased to accommodate, bottom bar is 2inches (50mm) up from the bottom of the upright and the top bar is 4inches (100mm) down

Whilst not completely fresh sawn (green), these gates have a higher water content than Air dried,which makes them heavier and therefore there is a risk of slight movement, small dry cracks will also develop in time in warm weather.

Same grade of oak as Air dried but cheaper
