Uprights are 5x3"(125x75mm) at the hanging end and 3x2.5"(75x63mm) at the swinging end. All sizes are pre-planed. The Kingscote is strongest entrance gate with the swept heel. Joinery grade Scandinavian softwood coated in preservative, obviously not as long lasting and durable as the oak version but with care and the occasional extra covering of preservative it can be long lasting. **Please note the swept heel is a weakpoint on this design gate, the grain on the curve is vertical therefore a slight risk of splitting**
